Summary

Senior Project Manager who owns delivery of complex autonomous drone (UAV) projects end-to-end — scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and contractual commitments — leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, production, supply chain, and finance, with emphasis on project controls, earned value management, and customer acceptance.

On a mission

As DeltaQuad continues to grow internationally, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex projects in autonomous drone technology.

You’ll play a key role in bringing our advanced UAV solutions to customers worldwide, navigating technical complexity, commercial challenges, and ambitious delivery timelines. We’re looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, brings structure to complexity, and knows how to turn challenging projects into successful outcomes.

The role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of projects from initiation through delivery and final acceptance. You’ll be responsible for project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and contractual commitments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, and external partners, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage financial performance, and maintain strong customer relationships.

You’ll establish effective project controls and governance, proactively address risks and delivery challenges, and provide clear reporting to senior management. Beyond delivering projects, you’ll also contribute to strengthening project management practices as DeltaQuad continues to scale.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Management: Take full ownership of projects from initiation through delivery and final acceptance, managing scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and contractual requirements while ensuring clear governance and accountability.

  • Planning & Project Controls: Develop project schedules, delivery plans, and baselines. Monitor progress, manage forecasts, and track performance indicators such as milestones, budget variances, and Earned Value Management to ensure projects stay on track.

  • Financial & Commercial Management: Manage project budgets, expenditure, financial commitments, and forecasts. Identify financial risks, assess the commercial impact of changes, and work closely with Finance, Procurement, and Commercial teams to maintain financial control.

  • Risk, Issue & Change Management: Proactively identify and manage technical, commercial, operational, and resource-related risks. Develop mitigation plans, resolve issues, and manage project changes through structured processes.

  • Stakeholder & Customer Management: Act as the primary contact for customers and key stakeholders, leading project meetings, managing expectations, and ensuring clear communication and alignment between technical teams, suppliers, and senior management.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, R&D, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Compliance, Finance, Commercial, Sales, and Operations. Drive accountability, challenge assumptions, and coordinate internal teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.

  • Customer Delivery & Contractual Commitments: Translate contractual requirements into actionable project plans, monitor deliverables and acceptance criteria, identify potential delivery risks, and oversee customer acceptance and contractual close-out.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of professional project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects from initiation through completion.

  • Strong expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, change control, and project governance.

  • Demonstrated experience managing substantial project budgets, contractual commitments, multiple workstreams, and external suppliers.

  • Solid financial and commercial understanding, including cost control, variance analysis, project reporting, and contract management.

  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and report effectively to senior management.

  • Experience delivering technically complex projects against contractual milestones, including managing delivery challenges and implementing corrective actions.

  • Experience in defence, aerospace, UAV/UAS, robotics, engineering, manufacturing, electronics, systems integration, or other technically complex or regulated industries is highly desirable.

  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA are an advantage, but practical project delivery experience is more important.

Who you are

  • A true project leader: You take full ownership of project outcomes rather than simply coordinating activities, driving accountability and ensuring commitments are delivered.

  • Structured and analytical: You quickly understand complex projects, identify technical dependencies, financial risks, and delivery challenges, and establish effective project controls.

  • Proactive and decisive: You’re comfortable challenging assumptions, asking difficult questions, escalating issues, and taking corrective action when projects go off track.

  • Commercially minded: You understand the financial and contractual implications of project decisions and balance technical requirements with business objectives.

  • A strong communicator: You build relationships with customers, suppliers, technical teams, and senior stakeholders, communicating clearly and managing expectations effectively.

  • Adaptable and solutions-oriented: You thrive in complex, fast-moving environments and can bring structure to projects where processes and governance are still developing.

What we offer

  • Coaching and professional growth opportunities

  • 27 vacation days (based on full-time)

  • 38-hour workweek with flexible working hours

  • Travel reimbursement of €0.25/km or full compensation for public transport (2nd class)

  • Excellent pension scheme through the PME pension fund

  • Work in an innovative, high-tech environment with real-world impact

  • Open, informal company culture where your ideas are valued

  • Lunch provided by DeltaQuad, monthly team drinks, and regular team activities

Please note that, as part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process.
