Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000

The Position:
The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership and coordination of project management functions. Working directly with applications department, customers and Project team to direct project scope and ensure profitability goals are met on budget. Work with the management and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Direct and coordinate project schedules and resource allocation within the individual project teams
Monitor and communicate the project scope to the project teams as well as updating entire project time of contract changes
Create and review project schedules with the customer and project team to ensure on time project delivery
Review initial project scope and buy-in to project budget
Develop and manage project budgets and maintain project profitability
Manage company man hours versus projected project hours to maintain company optimum capacity work functions
Monitor all progress by the project teams on a daily basis, pinpoint possible issues with design, budgets, schedules and customers
Liaison between all departments to ensure time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of Eclipse machinery and equipment
Co-chair company’s project meetings to ensure all department leaders meet design specifications, schedules and project budgets
Review new projects with applications and department managers to allocate budgets and company resources
Ensure completion of all project contract deliverables through verification checklists including internal pre shipment check lists are complete
Participate in the development of change order proposals
Assist in the design evaluation of accepted project orders
Record all Research & Development work per project is reported for SR&ED claims
Monitor individual and departmental performance on a project level to identify department short falls and apply performance metrics against final execution
Leadership:
Monitor and update project work-in-progress to report project profitability to accounting on a monthly basis
Communicate project invoicing to the Accounting department and ensure payment is received
Promote positive relations and open communication techniques with partners, customers, vendors, and distributors
Recommend and consistently administer policies, process flow and procedures to enhance operations
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
Ability to communicate effectively with personnel, resolve and trouble shoot potential problems with supervisors
What We’re Looking For:
Has successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering / Robotics Automation Technology or equivalent experience
Formal project management training through PMP or working towards obtaining PMP Certification
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Solid Works would be an asset
10 years' experience in the custom automation industry within a supervisory role
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, accounting principles and sound business practices
Knowledge of structuring resource planning, managing budgets and revenue expectations
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
