We are partnering with a leading global technology organisation seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in a major retail technology transformation.

This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile, business-critical program involving sophisticated software platforms, enterprise integrations and large-scale retail operations.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of project planning, governance, commercial oversight and stakeholder coordination, working closely with enterprise customers, technical specialists and delivery teams.

Initially focused on discovery, solution definition and program planning, the role will evolve into managing implementation, pilot deployment and transition into operational support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead project delivery across scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and quality.

• Coordinate discovery workshops, requirements gathering, solution design and technical estimation activities.

• Establish robust project governance, including steering committees, RAID registers, executive reporting and change control.

• Manage relationships with senior customer stakeholders, technology teams, third-party vendors and systems integrators.

• Oversee commercial deliverables, project financials, resource forecasting and contractual commitments.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across local and international delivery environments.

• Manage implementation readiness, UAT, pilot deployments, go-live activities and transition to support.

About You

We are looking for an experienced, commercially astute technology delivery professional who combines strong project management discipline with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 8+ years of experience managing complex enterprise IT or software implementation programs.

• Demonstrated experience delivering retail technology, point-of-sale, commerce platforms or other high-volume transactional systems.

• Strong experience managing enterprise customers and communicating confidently with executive stakeholders.

• Proven expertise in project governance, financial management, risk mitigation, vendor management and change control.

• Experience facilitating technical discovery workshops, solution definition and estimation activities.

• Familiarity with Agile, hybrid and waterfall methodologies, together with tools such as Jira, Confluence and MS Project.

• Experience managing professional services engagements, Statements of Work and commercial deliverables.

• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.

• The ability to lead and coordinate distributed technical teams and navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Experience delivering large-scale POS, self-checkout, unified commerce or enterprise retail systems would be particularly advantageous.
