Senior Project Manager (Public Sector)
Summary
Leads public-sector infrastructure projects in Singapore end to end, overseeing planning, execution and delivery while managing scope, schedule, cost, risk and compliance with PSSCOC, WSH and government guidelines. Day to day involves coordinating clients, consultants and contractors, monitoring progress, and mentoring junior project management staff.
Role Overview
Lead and manage public-sector infrastructure projects in Singapore, overseeing project planning, execution and delivery while ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, execution and delivery from project initiation to completion.
Manage and coordinate clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams.
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risks and changes.
Liaise with clients and relevant authorities on requirements, approvals and project matters.
Ensure compliance with PSSCOC, WSH and public sector project guidelines.
Monitor project progress, cost and contractor performance, providing regular reports and updates.
Support procurement, tendering and contract administration activities where required.
Lead project and site coordination meetings and drive timely decision-making.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior project management team members.
Requirements
Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
8–10 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in public-sector or infrastructure projects.
Valid PSSCOC with good knowledge of WSH and statutory requirements.
Experience working as a Superintending Officer's Representative (SO Rep) for large‑scale Government or public sector infrastructure projects is highly advantageous
Strong experience in project planning, cost control, scheduling, risk and stakeholder management.
Good knowledge of Singapore authority processes and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
Experience working on public-sector or government-related projects will be an advantage.
Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively under tight project timelines.
Proactive, organized, accountable and able to work independently.
