Summary
Manages vendor selection, negotiates contracts, and oversees procurement of parts and services to support motorsports operations.
He/She ensures quality standards are followed in all activities and processes. He/She further improves processes by advising on sourcing strategies and improvement changes to ensure timely delivery on projects.
Purchasing Officer responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you're identifying the most profitable offers.
The purchasing agent is responsible for ordering products, services, and raw materials for the company or organization. They often work for manufacturers, retail chains, or wholesale companies.
