Senior Python AWS Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python AWS Developer with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in modern Python frameworks, paired with hands-on mastery of AWS cloud architecture. You will bridge the gap between application development and cloud infrastructure, driving automation, code quality, and technical excellence across our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design and build robust, testable, and efficient backend services using Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Cloud Architecture: Design, implement, and manage cloud-native solutions using AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS).
• API Engineering: Build, secure, and optimize highly available, developer-friendly RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices.
• CI/CD & Automation: Implement deployment automation, containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Database Optimization: Design and optimize schemas, queries, and connection pools for both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Monitoring & Support: Implement application logging, monitoring, and tracing via AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools to provide L3 production support.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, write technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Competencies

• Python Mastery: 5+ years of production-level Python development experience with a strong grasp of OOP, data structures, and asynchronous programming.
• AWS Expertise: Proven hands-on experience deploying and scaling enterprise systems on AWS, specifically serverless (Lambda, API Gateway) and containerized workflows.
• Databases: Solid understanding of relational SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL data stores.
• DevOps & Tools: Strong proficiency with Git version control, Docker, and standard CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Design Principles: Familiarity with High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), system architecture patterns, and cloud security compliance
