Senior Python Test Engineer – Hardware & Test Automation

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Test Engineer to develop automated testing solutions for optical and embedded devices. The role combines strong Python engineering with test architecture, laboratory automation, and hands-on work with physical hardware.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and software design principles.
• Experience designing maintainable software or test architecture.
• Practical understanding of threading, multiprocessing, and concurrent I/O.
• Understanding of Python's GIL and its impact on I/O-bound and CPU-bound workloads.
• Hands-on experience with pytest.
• Working knowledge of NumPy, SciPy, pandas, matplotlib, and PyVISA.
• Strong engineering practices, including clean code, testing, and code reviews.
• Technical background in engineering, physics, optics, or a related field.

Nice to have:

• Experience automating physical hardware or laboratory instruments.
• Experience with optical or measurement equipment.
