SENIOR QA / TEST ENGINEER

About the opportunity

Join a high-precision engagement to own the validation of deterministic decision paths across governance rules, ensuring flawless outcomes in a 100% remote LATAM role.

About our client Our client is preparing two AI-driven platforms for enterprise readiness, with a focus on security, correctness, and financial integrity ahead of a production launch.

What you'll do

  • Author and execute functional test cases across the full governance rule library, verifying correct PERMIT / DENY / ESCALATE outcomes.

  • Test the custom-rule intake path end to end, ensuring that a submitted rule resolves to a real engine record through the live path.

  • Build negative and edge-case test coverage focused on the actions the platform is designed to stop.

  • Support the Security / QA Lead with multi-tenant isolation and audit-chain testing.

  • Maintain a traceable mapping between test cases, rules, and requirements.

  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps in GitHub Issues and re-test fixes through the freeze-audit CI gate.

What you bring (must-haves)

  • Solid QA / Test Engineering experience with API-driven backends.

  • Working knowledge of Python and the ability to read source code to design precise tests.

  • Experience with rule-based, workflow, or decision-logic systems where correctness is explicitly defined.

  • Experience with Postgres / SQL for validating persisted state.

  • Comfort working with Docker and CI-based test execution, such as GitHub Actions or similar.

  • Disciplined approach to reproducible defect reporting.

  • B1 English proficiency.

Bonus points for (nice-to-haves)

  • Test automation experience against Python services.

  • Exposure to authorization or policy-engine testing.

  • Interest in security testing and developing further expertise in this area.
