Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Summary
Oversee semiconductor IC design quality, certifications, and supply-chain quality for a chip-development firm, driving ISO 9001 compliance and defect reduction across the full lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Framework & Certifications: Independently drive and execute a streamlined IC design quality framework, secure and maintain certifications like ISO 9001, and optimize workflows without administrative bloat.
- Project Gate Reviews: Oversee quality across the full chip development lifecycle — from specification and RTL design to tapeout, silicon evaluation, and mass-production transfer — while monitoring test coverage and verification data.
- Supply Chain Quality (SQM): Manage quality control for upstream and downstream partners (foundries and OSATs), covering supplier qualification, yield tracking, and anomaly resolution.
- Root-Cause Analysis & Improvement: Facilitate post-mortems and 8D investigations for incidents, turning historical defects into standardized design checklists and driving cross-functional quality metrics.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering, or Quality Engineering, with 3–5+ years of quality/test experience in semiconductor IC design or manufacturing (optical communication background preferred).
- Professional Competencies: Strong command of full-cycle semiconductor flows, ISO 9001 implementation, internal auditing, and quality tools (FMEA, 8D, FTA), alongside solid technical documentation skills.
- Soft Skills: High self-drive, autonomy, strong stakeholder influence, and cross-functional collaboration to balance quality rigor with project velocity.
- Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken). Mandarin would be a plus.
