Senior R&D Design Engineer (Medical Device | CREO) / East area
Our client is one of the leading players in the medical devices manufacturing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Senior R&D Design Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new medical products from concept through to production.
- Support project planning, execution, and technical coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct engineering analysis, prototype evaluation, and design reviews to ensure product performance and compliance.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, including design verification, validation, and product transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product quality, manufacturability, cost optimisation, and on-time project delivery.
- Enhance existing products through design improvements based on customer feedback, quality findings, and business requirements.
- Investigate technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure product designs comply with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, including Design History File (DHF) and related engineering records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform other engineering duties as assigned.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned when required.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Min 5 years of experience in product design, R&D, or new product development within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g. CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent) will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project coordination, and communication skills.
