About the opportunity

A global technology group is seeking a Senior Regional Legal Counsel to support its aerospace, air-management and advanced technology activities across Southeast Asia.

Location: Singapore

The role

This senior position will lead the contract-management function for an assigned portfolio of complex technology programmes. You will provide strategic legal and commercial advice while managing and coaching one Contract Manager.

Key responsibilities

Lead contract strategy and lifecycle management from tender through project completion

Draft and negotiate agreements with customers, partners and subcontractors

Advise on contractual risks, financial exposure and mitigation measures

Manage variations, extensions, claims, notices, amendments and disputes

Oversee contractual communications and maintain proper governance and documentation

Set priorities, review work and coach one direct report

Support compliance matters, including anti-corruption, antitrust, data protection, trade compliance and third-party screening

Coordinate with external counsel and deliver contract-management training

Requirements

Recognised law degree or equivalent legal qualification

More than 10 years’ PQE as a legal counsel or contract manager

Substantial in-house experience within a multinational or international environment

Strong commercial contracting, negotiation, claims and risk-management capabilities

Experience supporting complex cross-border projects

Exposure to aerospace, aviation, critical infrastructure or major technology projects would be advantageous

Demonstrated leadership, coaching and stakeholder-management skills

Willing to travel regionally up to once a month
