Senior Resident Engineer (SRE-M&E)
Job Description:
• Monitor, supervise and inspect works on site as directed by CAG/QP(S)/QP(Geo)/QP(MEP) and the project consultants.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, safety & quality standards.
• Maintain proper site records and submit progress reports.
• Coordinate with the main contractor(s) and follow the applicable shift/roster work schedule.
• Plan roster/shift duties per the contractors' work schedules (compliant with all relevant Acts/Regulations) and ensure welfare of reporting personnel.
• Work with QP(D)/QP(S) to resolve design and technical issues.
• Provide governance for multi-disciplinary integration and lead resolution of interface/integration issues across trades and packages.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years' relevant M&E building-services experience, of which at least 8 years on projects of similar size/complexity (major construction or utilities laying/testing/commissioning).
• M&E engineering degree recognised by PEB Singapore, preferably accredited Registered Resident Engineer (IES).
• Proficient in PSSCOC contract administration.
• Licensed Electrical Worker/Licensed Plumber preferred.
• Knowledge of the Changi Aerodrome Manual preferred.
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (WSHMCI) and other trainings per Cl. 4.2.
• Conversant with statutory codes/requirements for site supervision, quality control, safety & health, construction administration and progress reporting.
• Strong supervision & leadership skills, proactive in resolving site issues with good team spirit.
• Relevant experience in the Aviation/Aerodrome sector preferred.
• Able to perform shift work.
• MEP QSS: relevant experience across project M&E/airfield systems
• Airfield systems (22kV/LV/potable water/NEWater/fire hydrant/gas/IT-comms, airfield lighting, aviation fuel hydrant system).
• Required to inspect/audit local and overseas fabrication yards jointly with CAG, Consultants and QP/QP representatives.
