Senior Sales Executive (Food Ingredients)
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and business development by actively reaching out to manufacturers and brand owners in the food industry.
- Visit customers regularly to build and sustain strong long-term relationships.
- Source and develop new business opportunities with both current and prospective clients to hit monthly targets and support ongoing growth.
- Assess client needs and propose suitable ingredient solutions that address both commercial and technical requirements.
- Prepare and present sales pitches, proposals, and product demos to win business.
- Oversee the sales pipeline — forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring results against targets.
- Respond to customer questions, feedback, and complaints quickly and professionally to maintain satisfaction.
- Build and maintain solid knowledge of the ingredient portfolio, including how products are used and their benefits.
- Keep current on industry trends, market shifts, and food regulations (e.g., safety and labeling standards).
- Work with suppliers and internal technical teams to spot new product ideas and market opportunities.
- Share market insights, competitor updates, and progress reports to inform business strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science & Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Around 2–3 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in food ingredients or a related sector.
- Solid grasp of food ingredients, their uses, and market trends.
- Strong communication, negotiation, business, and interpersonal skills, including cost management awareness.
- Track record of building and maintaining key client relationships.
- Goal-driven with a history of hitting or beating sales targets.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving setting.
