Senior Sales Specialist - Investment Banking

This is a quota-bearing sales role responsible for developing and closing solutions sales opportunities across a dedicated client portfolio, including M&A Advisory, Capital Markets, Corporate Development, Legal Advisory, and Private Equity communities.

As a Sales Specialist, you will help us grow our Investment Banking business while building strong relationships with customers across your territory. You will bring knowledge of financial markets and customer workflows to conversations with clients and collaborate with colleagues across Sales, Account Management, and Product Management.

You will have the opportunity to work with clients across M&A, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Syndicated Loans, Public Finance, Project Finance, and related areas. It’s an opportunity to combine financial markets knowledge, relationship building, and consultative selling in a role with meaningful commercial impact!
  • Develop new business and expand existing customer relationships by identifying new accounts, buyer groups, and opportunities within your territory.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs, sharing relevant market insights, and connecting them with LSEG solutions.
  • Build relationships across client organizations and use your network to create introductions and uncover new opportunities.
  • Learn how customers work, understand the challenges they are trying to solve, and identify solutions that can improve their workflows.
  • Partner with colleagues across lead generation, Account Management, Product Management, and Sales to identify and progress new and expansion opportunities.
  • Guide opportunities through the sales process, anticipate potential obstacles, and bring the right people together to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Manage proposals, value analysis, Salesforce activity, and other sales activities needed to move opportunities forward and achieve sales goals.

Qualifications & Experience:
We are looking for someone who brings relevant sales experience and an understanding of financial markets. You may have developed this expertise in Investment Banking, financial services, financial technology, data and analytics, or a related environment.
  • 5–10 years of relevant sales experience, ideally with exposure to financial markets or Investment Banking.
  • Experience developing customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and delivering against sales targets.
  • Consultative selling skills and the ability to understand customer needs and clearly communicate the value of a solution.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of M&A Advisory, ECM, DCM, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, or related financial workflows.
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with market data, desktop solutions, or data feeds is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to organize and manage a sales plan while collaborating effectively with colleagues and customers.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 - $200,000.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
