Primary Responsibilities

The Senior SAP Development Analyst (Evolve) will play a pivotal role in achieving the Evolve Program's development objectives. This position is responsible for designing, building, and supporting high-quality applications, extensions and APIs on SAP BTP that deliver new development and integration projects across Ventia's SAP landscape, including S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition (PCE) and SuccessFactors.

In this role, the successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, system integrators (SIs) and internal teams. They will take a hands-on role in development while monitoring and coordinating development activities performed by SIs, ensuring strict adherence to approved designs, Ventia's quality standards and architectural guidelines. This includes validating deliverables, managing risks and driving issue resolution to maintain project timelines and quality outcomes.

Additionally, the role will provide hands-on guidance for development activities where Ventia retains responsibility. This involves conducting code reviews, planning and overseeing remediation efforts and ensuring compliance with SAP extensibility guidelines and best practices.

Essential Experience

• Over 7 years of SAP development experience across SAP modules and technologies.
• Develop and support mobile applications and APIs on SAP BTP using SAP CAP, Node.js, CDS and SAP HANA Cloud.
• Design, build and support SAPUI5/Fiori and Fiori Elements applications.
• Strong knowledge of SAP development best practices, design patterns and architecture.
• Understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
• Experience managing system integrators and third-party vendors.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP extensibility models and clean core strategies.

Desirable Experience

• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite, OData, REST APIs and API Management.
• Knowledge of integration patterns including SuccessFactors integrations.
• Experience in infrastructure, services or asset-intensive industries.

• Application development using SAP CAP and BTP.
• Development of OData and REST APIs.
• SAPUI5/Fiori front-end development.
• Code reviews, testing, troubleshooting and production support.
• Stakeholder engagement and technical governance participation.
• Release planning and implementation support.

General Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain applications and services using SAP CAP on BTP.
• Develop APIs, business logic and integrations.
• Develop responsive SAPUI5/Fiori user interfaces.
• Monitor SI deliverables for compliance with clean core principles.
• Review code quality and escalate issues where required.
• Support testing cycles, release planning and post-implementation support.
• Participate in governance forums and provide technical input.
