Senior Security Engineer (f/m/x)

Senior Security Engineer designs and implements Microsoft security solutions (Sentinel, Defender) and cloud tooling to improve clients' security posture.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our remote team, focusing on delivering security solutions using Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms. You will play a crucial role in implementing security improvements, working closely with customers to enhance their security posture. Your tasks

  • Deliver assigned Azure DevOps stories and tasks according to sprint priorities

  • Implement security improvements across Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and cloud security tooling

  • Provide estimates and feasibility input during planning and refinement sessions

  • Maintain work items with clear progress notes, completed hours, and technical context

  • Identify and raise risks early regarding scope, effort, complexity, or dependencies that may impact delivery

  • Build, configure, test, and validate changes against acceptance criteria and security standards

  • Document delivered work, including key decisions, testing evidence, and support considerations

  • Facilitate demos and knowledge transfer to ensure customers understand and can effectively use implemented solutions

  • Share reusable patterns, scripts, and lessons learned to enhance Security CoE delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in security engineering with hands-on expertise in Microsoft security technologies and cloud platforms

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, SIEM/XDR, Azure, AWS, and security operations tooling

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across customer environments and communicate progress clearly

  • Strong written communication skills for Azure DevOps updates, documentation, and customer-facing summaries

  • Experience with scripting or automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is beneficial

  • Familiarity with secure configuration principles and OWASP Top 10

  • Fluent English
