Senior Security Architect (f/m/x)

Summary

Designs secure Microsoft cloud solutions, leads customer roadmaps, and guides teams on Sentinel, Defender, and identity security.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Architect to join our team, focusing on designing secure Microsoft cloud and security solutions. In this role, you will engage with customers to lead technical conversations, develop security roadmaps, and provide design guidance across various Microsoft security technologies. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic team.

Your tasks

  • Owning and maintaining the customer security roadmap, covering short, medium, and long-term outcomes

  • Leading discovery, roadmap, and backlog conversations with customers and internal teams

  • Turning customer goals, risks, and improvement opportunities into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria

  • Providing design guidance across Microsoft security technologies, including Sentinel, Defender, identity, cloud security, posture management, and automation

  • Prioritizing work based on customer value, risk, technical dependency, and available CoE capacity

  • Supporting sprint planning by validating priorities, estimates, and achievable outcomes

  • Briefing Security Engineers with the context, guardrails, and quality expectations needed for delivery

  • Reviewing progress, outputs, and documentation to keep delivery aligned to the intended outcome

  • Raising risks, blockers, scope concerns, and dependencies early, working with delivery roles, CSMs, and customers

  • Explaining technical decisions in plain English so customers can make informed choices

  • Supporting knowledge transfer so customers become more confident and self-sufficient over time

  • Championing reusable patterns, standards, and best practices across the Security CoE

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in security architecture or consulting

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Cloud, including Azure, Sentinel, and Defender

  • Proven experience in designing secure Microsoft cloud and security solutions

  • Strong customer-facing consulting experience with the ability to lead technical conversations

  • Ability to turn unclear customer needs into practical roadmaps, designs, and backlog items

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex security topics simply

  • Awareness of security frameworks, compliance drivers, and posture improvement principles

  • Fluent English

Nice-to-have requirements

  • Experience with Linux or AWS Security

  • Familiarity with OWASP and security certifications

  • Knowledge of SIEM/XDR platforms, scripting or automation skills, incident response, logging, and alerting

  • Understanding of network defense, vulnerability scoring, and secure development principles
