Senior Software Developer – DevOps / Cloud

Contract: September 25, 2026 – September 24, 2027

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in DevOps, Java, cloud technologies, microservices, and production support. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting cloud-based solutions, building CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, monitoring application performance, and resolving production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, develop, and administer CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support continuous development and deployment of cloud-based systems.
• Monitor application performance in Azure and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve deployment and production issues.
• Implement automation for code integration, testing, deployment, and infrastructure management.
• Design and develop solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Develop frontend applications using React or Angular and integrate systems through APIs and other integration endpoints.
• Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate solutions for end-to-end automation.
• Create and execute unit, integration, performance, and other testing activities.
• Develop application monitoring procedures and support ongoing production operations.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution design documents, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Collaborate with IT, business, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and developing secure RESTful/SOAP APIs, web services, and microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Framework.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and development environment setup.
• 5+ years of experience with tools such as Git, Kubernetes, Maven, and Docker.
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, including application deployment, monitoring, security, scalability, and resilience.
• Experience with React/Angular, JSON, HTML/CSS, XML/XPath, and modern web application development.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, OAuth, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience developing applications aligned with WCAG AA accessibility standards.
• Experience with Power Automate, Logic Apps, and RPA solutions.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, such as Azure Document Intelligence, Cognitive Search, OpenAI, OCR, or information extraction/classification, is an asset.
• Experience with testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, or JMeter.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a public sector/government environment.
• Experience with Azure CI/CD, Java, microservices, Kubernetes/AKS, containers, SQL Server, Logic Apps, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience with production support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
