Senior Software Developer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to contribute to backend and full-stack development within a modern engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have strong development expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities and experience incorporating AI coding agents into their development workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust software solutions.
• Contribute to backend and full-stack development initiatives.
• Work with modern technologies including Java, NodeJS, TypeScript and/or Python.
• Effectively direct AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor as part of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Troubleshoot complex software and technical issues.
• Apply sound software engineering and version-control practices.
• Work with relational databases to support application functionality.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years' solid professional software development experience.
• Strong backend and/or full-stack development experience.
• Proven expertise in at least one of:
  • Java
  • NodeJS
  • TypeScript
  • Python
• Experience using and directing AI coding agents within a software development workflow.
• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Diligent, proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Advantageous Skills

• Strong RESTful API development knowledge.
• Git and version control experience.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases.
