Serco Space Services - Europe Careers in Rome seeks a Senior Software Developer to join the ECLIPSE Product Development team. This full-time role includes remote-working options and a path for career progression.
You will design and deliver high-quality software, mentor peers, and influence architectural decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the lifecycle.
Lead design, development, deployment and maintenance of complex software features. Design scalable, secure solutions aligned with goals and architecture. Take ownership of significant functional areas for long-term quality. Review code, set standards, and promote best practices. Mentor developers and provide technical guidance. Collaborate with product owners, tech leads and stakeholders to translate requirements. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot stack. Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript plus front-end frameworks. Proficient in Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases. Hands-on with Git, SVN or similar version control systems. Ability to mentor and lead technical discussions.
