Job Description
Within the Online Services group, the Crossroads team is looking for experienced Software Developers to contribute to the development, evolution, and stabilization of critical services used at scale in Ubisoft games.
We are looking for someone motivated to work on services with a significant history, and who is stimulated by the challenges of restructuring, optimization, and continuous improvement in a complex distributed environment.
The candidate will contribute to designing robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions, while actively participating in improving the quality and resilience of existing systems.
You will work in an environment using modern technologies and practices such as .NET Core, Docker, AWS, microservices architectures, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD, as well as a collaborative DevOps culture.

What you will do
- Participate in all phases of development: analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, debugging, and support of online services
- Contribute to the stabilization and optimization of existing services
- Identify and address technical issues related to performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Participate in refactoring and modernization efforts for systems with a significant history
- Ensure high-quality production support (including complex incidents and advanced-level support)
- Collaborate with production teams and cross-functional teams to ensure proper service integration
- Estimate required efforts and contribute to planning
- Evaluate the technical impacts and risks of proposed solutions
- Contribute to engineering best practices (quality, security, observability, DevOps)
- Stay up to date on technologies and practices related to online services and monetization
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- 5 or more years of professional programming experience
- Experience in backend development (ideally in a cloud/microservices environment)
- Interest in complex and scalable distributed operating systems
- Ability to understand and evolve existing systems
- Sensitivity to performance, reliability, and cost issues
