Senior Software Development Manager
Overview
Lead a high-performing engineering team developing next-generation Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and EFEM software for semiconductor wafer testing. You will drive software architecture, execution timelines, and cross-functional integration with hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 6–8 software engineers.
- Define the software architecture for wafer prober control, instrument calibration, and data analytics.
- Own end-to-end software development life cycles using Agile methodologies.
- Align with hardware design, product marketing, and global manufacturing teams.
- Enforce robust code review, automated testing, and CI/CD pipeline standards.
- Identify, document, and track software anomalies. Work closely with software developers and process engineers to isolate hardware vs. software failures.
- Integrate automated test execution directly into the software team’s continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years in semiconductor equipment software, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or C# for writing automation scripts. Deep knowledge of SECS/GEM and semi-standard protocols.
- Proven experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), motion control, and high-throughput data processing.
- Experience working directly with semiconductor fab equipment or hardware simulation environments.
- Knowledge of computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) or image processing analysis.
- Professional testing certifications such as ISTQB.
