Senior Software Engineer Accounting and Ledger Systems

You will design and extend core double-entry ledger systems, including accounts, postings, ledger structures, and chart-of-accounts reporting. You will connect engineering data to financial statements, reconcile on-chain and off-chain records, verify balances, and help teams model new financial products correctly before launch. You will create scalable data models and review technical designs across systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend core ledger accounts, postings, and account-type structures
• Own the chart of accounts and reporting surface for financial statements and downstream reporting
• Verify balances and reconcile on-chain data with off-chain books
• Partner with engineering teams to model ownership, ledger placement, pricing, and reconciliation paths
• Design extensible data models for new financial products
• Review technical designs across multiple systems

Requirements

• Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts design, financial statements, reconciliation, and audit requirements
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience owning data-model design for correctness-critical systems
• Extensible system-design skills for schemas and APIs
• Ability to read and critique technical designs across multiple systems
• Cross-functional communication skills
