Senior Software Engineer – AI / Agent Applications
Summary
Hands-on senior software engineer building production-ready AI and agent-based applications (LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks) for complex engineering workflows: designing and integrating AI agents with internal systems and APIs, building backend services and UIs, and owning testing, CI/CD and monitoring. Strong Python/C++/C# skills required; semiconductor exposure is a plus.
Our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to build production-ready AI and agent-based applications for complex engineering workflows. The role covers application design, integration, testing, deployment, and technical mentoring.
Responsibilities
Design and develop production-ready AI and agent-based applications for engineering workflows.
Integrate AI agents with internal systems, data sources, APIs, tools, and engineering applications.
Build supporting backend services, data flows, user interfaces, and application logic.
Develop reliable testing and evaluation approaches for AI-enabled software.
Implement CI/CD, monitoring, code-quality checks, and automated testing.
Troubleshoot issues across AI, application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
Improve development processes and adopt AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly.
Requirements
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience developing production applications using LLMs, generative AI, or agents.
Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or C#.
Experience with RAG, tool calling, prompt/context design, agent frameworks, or model evaluation.
Good understanding of APIs, services, concurrency, data structures, and event-driven or distributed systems.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and version control.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Exposure to semiconductor equipment, scientific software, machine vision, local LLMs, or hardware integration would be advantageous.
