[Banking] Senior Software Engineer | Java Spring Boot & Agentic AI

You will be joining a growing digital banking organisation that is investing heavily in next-generation technology and AI-powered products. The team is building production-grade digital banking solutions that support both customer-facing services and internal banking operation.

Your new role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work within a hands-on engineering team building scalable backend platforms and AI-enabled banking solutions. The role offers a balanced mix of traditional backend engineering and implementing Agentic AI capabilities, giving you the opportunity to expand your AI experience while working on real-world banking products.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build services, APIs and integrations connecting AI agents with core banking, payments, identity and customer systems.

• Implement Agentic AI workflows, orchestration logic and AI-enabled product capabilities.

• Develop and maintain cloud-native banking platforms, APIs and data/event pipelines.

• Ensure applications meet high standards across security, resilience, testing, observability and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

• 5–8 years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on backend development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including building production-grade APIs and microservices.

• Good understanding of distributed systems, microservices, public cloud, cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes.

• Experience within banking or financial services, particularly core banking, payments, KYC, AML or screening systems.

• Strong interest in AI/Agentic AI technologies; exposure to RAG, AI frameworks or agent frameworks would be advantageous.
