Senior Software Engineer (Backend - Java)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.


• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various systems.


• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, QA) in an agile, remote environment.


• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues promptly.


• Optimize application performance and database queries.


• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology choices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.


• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.


• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.


• Expertise in SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).


• Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).


• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).


• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).


• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
