Summary
Build and maintain backend services for card transaction processing, fraud detection, and developer APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
You will design, build, and operate backend services for card transaction processing, fraud detection, card program management, and developer-facing APIs. You will contribute to architecture, write tested and observable code, collaborate across functions, participate in reviews and incident response, and improve system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services for card transaction processing, fraud detection, and card program management
- Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, Finance, and Compliance
- Write clean, observable, and tested code
- Participate in code reviews and incident response
- Improve system reliability and engineering practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- Backend systems experience in a typed language
- Distributed systems knowledge
- Experience with asynchronous processing, retries, observability, and eventual consistency
- Experience with card networks, 3DS, PCI, tokenization, or chargebacks is desirable
- Experience with compliance or regulatory constraints is desirable
