Senior Software Engineer - CIAM

As a Senior Software Engineer in the eCommerce team, you will be a key contributor to the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) platform, delivering secure, scalable authentication, authorisation, and profile management across web, mobile, and partner channels. You will help evolve the CIAM capability to improve resilience, compliance, and integration within easyJet’s digital commerce journey.

Working closely with the Lead Software Engineer, you will deliver high‑quality solutions aligned to engineering standards, contribute to technical discussions, and champion best practices and modern architectures to accelerate delivery and maintain a robust, scalable, future‑ready platform.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver solutions aligned to the agreed technical direction of the CIAM platform, contributing to implementation of authentication flows, identity lifecycle management, federation, consent, and profile services in line with security, privacy, availability, and scalability expectations.
• Work in partnership with the Technical Product Owner - defining outcomes, priorities, and scope while maintaining architectural integrity and long-term technical sustainability.
• Design and implement customer identity solutions, contributing to CIAM architectures that align with established Mission architecture.
• Champion data integrity, performance, and operational resilience - ensuring all squad‑owned components are designed and implemented in alignment with Mission‑level architectural patterns.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Software Engineer and cross-functional partners -supporting delivery, contributing to scope discussions, and raising dependency risks where they impact implementation.
• Own the delivery of key product features - ensuring they meet functional requirements as well as performance, security, and availability standards.
• Ensure the quality of code produced within the squad - upholding engineering best practices, coding standards, and platform aligned patterns.
• Lead and contribute to code reviews - providing constructive, actionable feedback to elevate engineering quality and develop team capability.
• Use engineering metrics and feedback to identify issues in delivered solutions and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering quality and reliability.
• Mentor and guide engineers within the squad - supporting technical growth & skill development.
• Stay informed on CIAM, security, and identity industry trends.
