Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform) at BairesDev

As a Senior Software Engineer for our Data Platform, you will architect and maintain the robust, large-scale big data systems that power our data-driven initiatives. You will serve as the technical backbone for our distributed infrastructure, ensuring that high-volume data processing remains performant, reliable, and accessible across the enterprise.

What You'll Do:

- Architect and operate enterprise-scale big data platforms leveraging the Hadoop ecosystem and Spark internals.
- Design and optimize high-throughput data streaming and messaging architectures using Kafka and NiFi.
- Manage and scale distributed storage solutions and NoSQL databases to ensure data durability and rapid access.
- Streamline platform operations through advanced Linux systems administration and automated infrastructure management.
- Enhance system observability and reliability to support complex analytical workloads at a petabyte scale.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define architectural standards and ensure the scalability of the global data environment.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
- Proven expertise in building and operating big data platforms using the Apache Hadoop ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Java or Scala for developing large-scale data processing applications with Spark.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like HBase and data orchestration tools like NiFi.
- Strong background in Linux systems administration and managing distributed systems at scale.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
