Summary
Senior Software Engineer in Singapore building large-scale web applications end to end: designing scalable systems, writing and reviewing quality code, and leading initiatives and teams. Core stack is Python (or Java/Go/PHP/Node) on the backend with a ReactJS/NextJS frontend; role is office-based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build innovative application experiences
● Implement custom user interfaces using latest programming techniques and technologies
● Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance, and provide feedback to peers during code reviews
● Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications
● Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive large efforts to reduce technical debt
● Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies
● Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding
Required experience: ● At least 7 years of deep experience building general software / web systems at a large-scale or similar experience ● Expertise in Python (3.x) -> Expertise in Python or equivalent OOP stack such as Java, Go, PHP, Node, etc. ● Proficiency in Frontend programming stack, preferably with ReactJS or NextJS. TS would be a plus. ● Solid verbal and written communication skills ● Proficiency with HTTP(s) protocol and RESTful specifications ● Experience leading major initiatives successfully ● Experience leading projects and teams accordingly ● Experience building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability ● Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes ● Experienced in utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and providing detailed feedback and solutions.
Preferred qualifications: ● Proficiency in Python ● GraphQL, NextJS, Redis, RDBMS experience ● Tracking, Data Analytics experience such as GA, GTM ● Proficient in HTML5 / CSS3 / ECMAScript 6 + / TypeScript
