Senior Software Engineer
Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 8,000 per month
About the role
Join our IT team as a senior engineer taking ownership of system planning, delivery, and process discipline across the company's core platforms.
Key responsibilities
Own the planning and development cycle for our internal system
Evaluate the existing system and propose scalable, maintainable solutions as it grows
Mentor a team member and help grow their technical skills
Take ownership of deliverables; participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions alongside the team
Contribute to the development of other systems/tools as needed
Reduce technical debt and improve long-term system stability
Requirement
5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with Laravel/PHP/MySQL or equivalent stack
Strong system design skills — able to evaluate existing systems and architect scalable solutions, not just implement given specs
Experience owning a system end-to-end (planning, development, testing, deployment)
Enjoys mentoring and supporting less experienced teammates
Self-driven, comfortable taking ownership and running with initiatives autonomously
