Title and Summary
Senior Software Engineer F/TOverviewDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
Role
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs and help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Expertise in design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, VSAM.
• Demonstrate professional expertise in understanding and implementing OO design patterns, developing container-based applications in microservices architecture, using state-of-the-arts software engineering best practices.
• Analyze, Troubleshoot and provide support for Production issues for mainframe applications based on JCL and CICS.
• Interacts with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules.
• Translates complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods.
• Identifies and implements more complex automation efforts.
• Participates in requirements review and testing activities; monitors resolutions and retains documentation.
• Mentoring the team and Work with software developers and domain experts in designing, performing, and improving verification tests.
• Analyzes/Designs/Implements scalable data retention architectures.
About You
• Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Software Engineer, Java Developer, Mainframe Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
• Qualifying experience must include at least one (1) year of experience with each of the following: Java; Spring Framework: Boot/MVC/Cloud/Security/ORM/Data/Test/Batch; JPA/Hibernate; Kafka/Axon; Teradata; Scala; Oracle/ PostgreSQL/ Yugabyte/Toad; ALM; Jenkins; PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry); Checkmark/Blackduck; COBOL/ VSAM; CICS.

Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
