\n Senior Software Engineer – Disputes Technology\n
Fantastic opportunity to join a thriving financial services organisation. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Disputes technology team, responsible for building and enhancing scalable, resilient services that support the end-to-end dispute lifecycle.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality backend services and APIs. \n
- Own features end‑to‑end, from design and implementation through deployment and production support. \n
- Contribute to system architecture and design, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and performance. \n
- Implement workflow‑ and state‑driven processing models, integrating with data provisioning, queue management, and financial processing systems. \n
- Apply modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps to improve delivery quality and efficiency. \n
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Platform teams. \n
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Drive adoption of AI‑assisted development practices across the full software lifecycle. \n

- 8+ years of experience in software development. \n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. \n
- Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) or similar backend technologies, microservices and distributed systems. \n
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile and DevOps practices. \n
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, working with event‑driven systems, and using relational or NoSQL databases. \n
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex production systems. \n
- Experience in payments or financial services preferred, especially dispute processing, chargebacks, or transaction lifecycle management. \n
- Familiarity with workflow or state‑machine‑based systems, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. \n
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and operational best practices. \n
- Nice to have: SDLC development using Agentic tools. \n
