About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team developing and supporting a portfolio of software products.

This role is suited to an engineer who thinks rigorously about quality, takes ownership end-to-end, and enjoys solving complex problems with simple, maintainable technology.

What you'll do

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support software products from end-to-end

• Take ownership of problems from ambiguous requirements through to production

• Develop reliable and maintainable applications using modern engineering practices

• Participate in system design discussions and code reviews

• Make and communicate technical decisions, while remaining open to alternative approaches

• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and contribute to incident resolution

• Identify opportunities to improve systems, tooling, and engineering practices

• Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What we're looking for

• Strong engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgement

• Experience with automated testing, version control, CI/CD, observability, and secure software development

• Experience with or strong interest in Go, PostgreSQL, and containerised environments

• Preference for simple, reliable, and maintainable technology solutions

• Ability to articulate and defend technical decisions while remaining open to feedback

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on addressing root causes

• High ownership and initiative, with the ability to work independently

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• A genuine interest in using AI effectively as part of the software development process
