Senior Software Engineer (Java)
Summary
The Senior Software Engineer will design and maintain scalable backend microservices using Java 25, Spring Boot, and Postgres to support card payments and crypto liquidity. The role focuses on building REST APIs and applying clean code and TDD practices within a high-growth startup environment.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems. You will build REST APIs, engineer microservices, and improve systems supporting card payments, treasury management, transaction booking, and crypto liquidity. You will work with Java 25, Postgres, and Spring Boot while applying clean code, TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop greenfield backend systems
- Improve existing systems
- Build REST APIs

- Apply clean code TDD DDD and continuous integration and delivery practices
Requirements
- Demonstrate backend development experience and fluency in Java
- Hold a bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science Mathematics Physics or another engineering or science discipline
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English
- Show a track record of building complex products used by millions in hypergrowth startups
- Learn quickly and demonstrate an ambitious results driven approach
