Senior Software Engineer (Java Or Python) - VP

In this role you will help shape Citi’s technology-driven finance platforms by delivering large-scale, cloud-native software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate functions, define improvements, and deploy new products while upholding architectural standards. You’ll solve complex business and system challenges, mentor mid-level developers, and ensure compliant, risk-aware delivery. The opportunity combines hands-on backend and frontend work with Gen‑AI initiatives to drive impactful outcomes in global markets.

• Coordinate with management to align functions and deploy product enhancements
• Resolve high-impact problems by analyzing business and system processes
• Provide domain expertise and ensure adherence to architectural blueprints
• Develop coding, testing, and implementation standards and improve system flow
• Acquire deep knowledge of how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals

• Full-stack development with strong Java or Python
• Backend frameworks: Spring Boot/Spring Core or Flask/FastAPI
• Frontend: modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
• Designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications
• Gen‑AI concepts: LLMs, transformers, prompt engineering, agent workflows
• Gen‑AI tools: LangChain, LangGraph, MLflow, n8n
• Gen‑AI API integration (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude)
• Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
