Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, high-performance web services using Java
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate web services smoothly into web applications
- Implement RESTful APIs to support reliable client-side and server-side communication
- Ensure service reliability, robustness, and security by applying standards and best practices
- Optimize performance and scalability using caching, load balancing, and database optimization techniques
- Coordinate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback while enforcing coding standards
- Stay current with trends and emerging technologies in Java development and web services
Requirements
- Proven 6-8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong proficiency in Java
- Solid understanding of web services development, including RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot to build and deploy web services
- Deep understanding of security best practices, including authentication and authorization with Spring Security and JWT
- Working knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures, plus ORM frameworks like Hibernate for database interaction
- Practical proficiency with Linux commands
- Strong knowledge of web security principles and industry best practices
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git and ADO
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
- Capability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Angular
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
