Salary: $150k to $170k Base + Super

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working directly with the CTO, you’ll design and deliver enterprise-grade solutions that solve real business problems. As one of the first members of a growing engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to influence architecture, establish engineering standards and mentor junior developers as the team expands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build and support enterprise-grade applications and internal platforms.
- Develop APIs, automation solutions and business-critical systems.
- Take solutions from concept through to production.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering standards and release processes.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Partner with Project Managers, Business Analysts and stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure solutions meet security, governance and data residency requirements.
- Collaborate with external vendors and offshore teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and help build a strong engineering culture.
- Hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems and building quality software.
- Equally comfortable writing code, influencing architecture and partnering with stakeholders.
- 7+ years’ software engineering experience.
- Strong Node.js and/or Python development skills.
- Experience building scalable applications, APIs and production-grade systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins or similar tooling.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience is highly regarded.
- Work directly with the CTO and influence technical direction.
