Senior Software Engineer - Python

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs using appropriate web technologies and client-server architecture.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Design, manage, and optimize SQL/PostgreSQL databases to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles to build clean, maintainable, and scalable applications.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools and prompt engineering techniques to improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Take ownership of tasks throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
• Write clean, readable, well-documented code and follow established development best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Continuously explore and adapt to new tools, technologies, and development practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong proficiency in Python and Django, with hands-on expertise in Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Experience with jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS for frontend development and responsive UI design.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and class-based design principles.
• Good knowledge of HTTP, RESTful APIs, and client-server architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, preferably Claude Code, and effective prompt engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style.
• Adaptability and a genuine interest in learning new tools and technologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in logistics or domain-driven software systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI.
