Senior Software Engineer (Web - React, Typescript)

Role Overview:


  • We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work closely with government agencies to develop robust and scalable systems for Weather Information Dissemination.
  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions that improve development efficiency, system resiliency, and user experience. You will play a key role in driving engineering best practices and enabling successful adoption of modern software development approaches.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with software engineers and cross-functional teams to understand objectives related to development efficiency, delivery effectiveness, and system resiliency, and help articulate how technical capabilities and engineering best practices can achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' existing technical landscapes, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and gaps that hinder business and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and recommend relevant engineering practices (e.g., CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)) and Core Engineering Products that best support their goals, taking into consideration their unique requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop transition roadmaps that provide a clear path from the current state to the desired future state, including the adoption of recommended tools, platforms, and processes.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations, supporting documentation, and architecture diagrams where appropriate.
  • Support Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives to validate proposed solutions, providing hands‑on technical assistance during pilot and early implementation phases to facilitate successful adoption and full‑scale deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers to share knowledge, tools, scripts, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Mandatory Requirements:


What We Are Looking For

  • At least 6 years of experience as an individual contributor in software engineering or software development roles.
  • Strong hands‑on experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend development practices, including component-based architecture, state management, API integration, and responsive design.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Node.js development.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience implementing modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Proven track record of delivering large‑scale software solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience of working with agile software development methodologies.

Advantageous Experience

  • Experience working in highly secure or air‑gapped environments, such as government agencies, financial institutions, defense organizations, or other regulated sectors.
  • Experience supporting mission‑critical or public‑facing systems with high availability and reliability requirements.
  • Experience collaborating directly with external clients, partners, or government stakeholders on technology transformation initiatives.
