Senior Solution Architect

Salary: $168,000-$200,000

• Fixed term through to June 2027
• Wellington preferred, other locations considered

We are seeking multiple experienced Solution Architects to join a nationally significant transformation programme delivering modern digital capabilities across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. This is an opportunity to influence the design of future-ready solutions that support better information sharing, improved services, digital innovation, and more effective decision making across government and local government.

Opportunities exist at both Senior and Lead Solution Architect levels, with a salary band of $168,000 to $200,000 per annum, and appointment based on experience, capability and demonstrated leadership.

What You'll Do

• Design end-to-end solution architectures spanning business applications, integration services, data platforms and cloud environments
• Define architecture patterns and standards for APIs, interoperability, identity, security and information exchange
• Lead architecture activities across multiple delivery streams, ensuring alignment to enterprise and target-state architecture
• Shape data integration and data sharing approaches across diverse systems and stakeholders
• Evaluate technology options and provide architectural guidance for cloud-native and SaaS solutions
• Produce architecture artefacts including solution designs, architecture decision records, interface specifications and roadmaps
• Support architecture governance, assurance and investment decision-making
• Ensure solutions are designed with security, privacy, resilience, availability and operational supportability in mind
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure architecture intent is realised through implementation

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years in Solution Architecture, with experience designing complex enterprise solutions
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud-native solutions on Azure, including SaaS, PaaS and integration services.
• Experience designing enterprise integrations using APIs, messaging and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, microservices and modern application architectures
• Experience working with data platforms, analytics, information management and data governance
• Strong understanding of security architecture principles including authentication, authorisation, identity management, privacy and risk management
• Experience balancing functional and non-functional requirements across complex enterprise solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions
• Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups, vendors and delivery teams
• Experience presenting architecture options, risks and recommendations to governance forums and senior stakeholders
