Senior Solution Architect
Solution Architecture:
- The Solution Architect will be accountable for owning the design and creating the required documentation to submit to the Solution Design Approval Forum to get design approval.
- Collaborate with business, enterprise architecture, information security, data, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, conceptual, and cost-effective design.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate and standardize the technology landscape across Lines of Business.
- Promotes reusability of existing solutions by adopting approved design patterns.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops with key stakeholders to help define the problem statement.
- Must have a breadth of expertise across the various architecture domains: Business, Data, Application, Infrastructure and Security.
- Lead workshops with Business and IT stakeholders to define scope, integration, and support Business in defining the non-functional requirements.
- Promotes re-use of existing applications to help accelerate delivery and the supportability of the solution.
- Guides sound decision making around the triple constraint trade-offs of Time, Cost and Scope to ensure quality is maximized within the given constraints.
- Create positive impact on reducing project failures, as a result of ensuring the end-to-end integrity & quality of the solutions design.
- To successfully complete projects via meticulous planning and consistent execution, one must have good project management skills and a comprehensive grasp on industry specific products and solutions.
- Takes part in every stage of product development to ensure that the design is installed, configured, and documented properly.
- Determine system inefficiencies and suggest alternatives for improvements.
- Concurrently manage a number of complex projects.
- Collects information, analyzes it, and directs the team in developing architectural requirements for a project.
- Clearly articulate and create architectural targets, recommendations and reusable patterns and accordingly propose investment roadmaps
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to integrate with overall technology ecosystem
- Tracks industry and application trends and relates these to planning current and future IT needs
- Perform design and code reviews thoroughly on regular basis, keeping in mind the security measures
- Articulates cost benefit analysis and build business cases.
- Reviews other system and application designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technologies.
- Works with various stakeholders to bring in innovation across various streams of services offerings
Communication:
- Utilizes state-of-the-art, best-in-class tools, techniques and methods to deliver technical presentations to peers, leadership team, business executives and stakeholders.
- Works pursuit team to plan pursuit strategies and timelines for engagements.
- Works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to bring in synergies to the solution architecture, implementation plan, optimized delivery model and costing.
- Works collaboratively with all partners in the pursuit/proposal development process
- Presents solutions to all levels of management with minimal supervision to the internal stakeholders
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s in computer science or engineering.
Minimum experience:
- 8 years of experience in solution design, solution architecture and or engineering discipline with more than 6 years of experience in software development/ systems designs.
Skills required
- Problem-solving expertise: Excellent understanding of how to put architectural guidelines into practice while working with the infrastructure and project team to build high-level applications for performance and scalability.
- Project management skills: The candidate must possess excellent leadership skills to guide and mentor a group of workers on software development and solution architecture projects.
- Thorough understanding of non-functional areas as well as the design of the application, infrastructure, and security.
- Experiences in cloud native principals, designs and deployments. Must be a professional at developing and deploying scalable products and services, including domain-specific microservices on multi-platform (such as Azure, AWS, OpenShift, etc.)
- Strong understanding of technology trends and their application in Financial Services.
- Exposure and Knowledge of :
- Systems, components and architectural principles and practices followed in distributed computing architecture
- Key integration patterns and tools such as event based, messaging, ELT/ETL, ESB & microservices based integration.
- Best practice API development, deployment, governance, and management practices.
- Data processing architecture involving different streaming and batch processing techniques
- Cloud deployment models and cloud taxonomies.
- Experienced in Microservices and SOA principals, guidelines and supporting technology.
- Experienced in development lifecycle and different software development technology, frameworks and coding standards.
- Experienced in different integration patterns, tools, technology trends.
- Experience in applying proven architecture design methodologies and tools.
- Wide experience in developing customer-centric critical, high resilient and secured solutions.
- Experienced in working with different open-sourced technology.
- Comprehensive knowledge and outstanding technical skills of software designs, data flow/ analytics and different integration solutions.
- Demonstrate exceptional technical skills across applications, information processing and integration domains.
