Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and governing enterprise technology solutions that support business objectives. This role serves as a strategic technical leader, partnering with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of enterprise applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud, and data solutions.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into technical roadmaps.
• Develop solution architectures, technical standards, and design documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools that support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers, engineers, analysts, and project teams.
• Review system designs, code, integrations, and infrastructure implementations for architectural compliance.
• Support digital transformation initiatives, cloud adoption, modernization efforts, and emerging technologies.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt while developing mitigation strategies.
• Participate in vendor evaluations, product selections, and contract reviews.
• Mentor technical staff and contribute to architecture governance processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including solution design and architecture responsibilities.
• 3+ years in a senior architecture, lead engineering, or similar technical leadership role.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, systems integration, APIs, databases, and security principles.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Architecture certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • TOGAF Certification
• Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing systems, supply chain technologies, or enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and microservices architectures.
