Senior Solutions Engineer
Summary
Senior Solutions Engineer at Suger (hybrid, Downtown Vancouver) owning technical customer integrations on an API-first quote-to-cash and cloud-marketplace revenue platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). Day to day: discovery and demos, mapping customer workflows to APIs, troubleshooting and debugging, plus building AI-powered automation for billing and compliance workflows.
In this role, you'll:
- Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and map workflows to Suger’s APIs, integrations, and AI-powered automation.
- Lead technical discovery, demos, walkthroughs, and AI-enabled proof-of-concepts, helping customers understand how intelligent workflows fit into their systems.
- Guide customers through onboarding, implementation, and go-live, including AI-assisted workflows that automate marketplace and billing processes.
- Troubleshoot API issues, investigate logs, validate configurations, and support escalations across both traditional services and AI-backed components.
- Collaborate with Engineering to reproduce issues, debug complex systems, and ensure clear technical handoffs.
- Partner with Product and Customer Success to surface customer needs, especially around AI reliability, explainability, and automation, and influence the roadmap.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and sample code for APIs, integrations, and AI-powered workflows.
- Translate complex technical and AI-related concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support Sales with technical alignment throughout the deal cycle, including positioning AI-driven value in customer conversations.
We're seeking someone with experience including:
- 4+ years in either a Software Engineer (solutions-focused), Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical customer-facing role.
- Ability to read and write code (JavaScript, Python, Go preferred, or similar).
- Experience debugging backend systems, APIs, or cloud-based applications.
- Strong communication skills with professional English proficiency, and the ability to explain technical problems and solutions clearly and pragmatically.
- Comfort working directly with enterprise engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience supporting both pre-sales and post-sales technical activities.
- Interest in or experience with AI-enabled systems, such as automation platforms, AI agents, or LLM-backed services (hands-on ML experience not required).
- Bonus: exposure to cloud marketplaces, SaaS billing, metering, revenue platforms, or workflow automation systems.
