What you’ll own
- Manufacturing financial reporting: Prepare ITS financial statements, consolidate results, reconcile intercompany activity, and deliver accurate, audit-ready reporting each period.
- Inventory and actual costing: Manage inventory valuation in a non-standard actual-cost environment, including roll forwards, receipts, issues, adjustments, cycle counts, and variance analysis.
- Cost and procurement partnership: Work with purchasing and operations to understand procurement activity, material movement, and the accounting impact on inventory cost and valuation.
- Month-end close: Help drive a disciplined four-day close, with concentrated transaction processing from business day -2 through day 5.
- Audit readiness: Serve as the primary accounting contact for the annual audit, coordinate PBC requests, and prepare clear supporting schedules and workpapers.
- Multi-entity accounting: Support Greenplay’s monthly billing, inventory valuation, and occasional reclassifications, along with AP and AR analysis as needed.
- Systems and reporting: Improve reporting and data flows across NetSuite, Snowflake, Power BI, and Excel.
- Automation and controls: Identify recurring work that can be automated and help design and document practical process-level internal controls as the organization grows.
The background that will stand out
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful hands-on responsibility in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong command of inventory accounting, inventory valuation, actual costing, material or purchase variances, cycle counting, and inventory roll forwards.
- Experience preparing financial statements, completing account reconciliations, and handling consolidations and intercompany transactions.
- Experience supporting external audits, including PBC coordination and workpaper preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA or active progress toward CPA licensure is preferred.
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Snowflake or Power BI are valuable.
- Exposure to construction accounting, project-based revenue, or percentage-of-completion concepts is a plus.
- A process-minded approach: you see how transactions, operations, systems, and financial reporting connect, and you are willing to improve what is not working.
You’ll likely thrive here if you…
- Like owning the details without losing sight of the full financial picture.
- Can investigate inventory or cost discrepancies, explain what happened, and follow the issue through to resolution.
- Are comfortable working directly with operational partners, not only within accounting.
- Bring structure to ambiguous or evolving processes and can work independently in a fast-paced close environment.
- Are curious about automation, AI, and better ways to move and analyze financial data.
