Description

The Sales Tech team is part of Intuit's Data, Growth, & Experiences (DGX) organization. Our vision in DGX is to power Intuit's financial system of intelligence through trusted, AI-ready data and experiences that fuel breakthrough customer growth and services adoption. Within DGX, Sales Tech builds the platform and intelligence that powers how Intuit's sellers connect with prospective and existing customers across the full lead-to-cash journey. Everything sellers and AI agents do depends on this platform being fast, trustworthy, and connected. We are investing in the architecture that ties these pillars into one coherent system: a clean, governed data foundation, well-defined platform services and APIs, and seamless interoperability with Salesforce and the broader sales ecosystem.

We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to be the technical anchor for our lead-to-cash domains: pipeline and forecasting, quoting (CPQ), contract lifecycle management (CLM), and order automation. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer with deep quote-to-cash domain expertise who can set technical direction across multiple teams, own architectural boundaries with partner organizations, and drive the shift from manual deal processes to AI-assisted, system-generated revenue workflows.

Intuit has embraced a hybrid working model and this role will be based out of our Mountain View office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the systems that carry a deal from opportunity to cash: pipeline and forecasting platforms, CPQ and deal-lever automation, contract lifecycle management, and omni-channel order fulfillment, built on Salesforce and enterprise platform services.
  • Own the architectural boundaries and integration patterns between the sales stack and adjacent monetization, billing, and commerce platforms, driving clear ownership and contracts across partner engineering organizations.
  • Stay deeply hands-on, contributing roughly 40 to 60 percent to development across the software lifecycle, with the remaining time on architecture, technical strategy, and cross-team alignment.
  • Drive the most complex, ambiguous, cross-team technical problems to resolution, spanning multiple domains, and ensure end-to-end quality in both technology and customer experience.
  • Embed AI responsibly across the deal lifecycle: AI deal-health scoring, forecasting intelligence, assisted quoting and contract review, with evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks measured against clear business metrics.
  • Define and evolve technical standards, patterns, and reference architectures for the lead-to-cash domain, and establish how reliability and revenue-critical correctness are measured.
  • Influence and communicate effectively with senior product and business leadership, translating technical strategy and trade-offs for non-technical audiences and shaping the roadmap.
  • Serve as a technical leader and force multiplier: coach and mentor Staff and senior engineers, and lead through influence across the broader Sales, Partner, and CS Tech org.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant experience building web, software, or data-intensive applications, with a track record of technical leadership at the staff level or above.
  • Deep lead-to-cash domain expertise: hands-on experience architecting quote-to-cash systems such as CPQ, contract lifecycle management, order management, billing, or revenue/forecasting platforms at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, including building seller-facing experiences and revenue workflows on top of them.
  • Expert-level proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (Java/J2EE or C#), and the judgment to make sound design decisions across large, distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML capabilities in production, ideally LLM-based or agentic systems (orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, guardrails).
  • Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams and organizations, and to communicate complex trade-offs to senior product and business leaders.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or CLM platform experience (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Apttus/Conga, DocuSign CLM), or Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience with forecasting methodologies, sales credit, quota, or consumption-based revenue systems.
  • Experience with agent frameworks, model orchestration, vector search, or AI evaluation and observability tooling.
  • Knowledge of SQL in a large-scale data warehouse or lakehouse environment (Spark, Databricks, Presto/Athena/Trino), Kafka, and both real-time and batch processing.
