Senior Support Worker
NewBe an early applicantStarrycare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support across our client sites. The successful candidate will lead by example, support the day-to-day delivery of care, and assist in supervising support staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to individuals in line with their care plans.
- Support service users with personal care, daily living activities, and promoting independence.
- Lead, mentor, and support Support Workers during shifts.
- Monitor and update care records, reporting any concerns or changes in service users' needs.
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice, and person-centred care.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, infection control, and organisational policies.
- Participate in training, supervision, and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
- Previous experience working as a Senior Support Worker or in a similar care role.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, medication administration, and person-centred care.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
