Senior Systems Administrator
SAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Senior System Administrator to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer; the System Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of hardware systems that require the integration of diverse and complex components. This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs and requires frequent domestic and international travel with limited notice.
Job Duties
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, workstations and networked systems
- Create, repair and manager user accounts, permissions, groups, Active Directory and access controls
- Implement security controls, patch systems, manage protection and monitor vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switches and other network services. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation of hardware and software specification
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, verify recovery procedures, and document incidents through submission of deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- Troubleshoot and analysis of problems with major systems such as VMware, storage systems, Windows and Linux systems
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking and connectivity issues
- CompTIA Network+ or higher
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting DoD legacy systems with aging hardware
- Experience sustaining UEWR, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS)
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework and STIG Implementation
