Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide analysis, design, development, and implementation support for TACCOM systems and applications. This position serves as a senior technical resource for secure, interoperable P25 communications and the network and IT architectures that support them.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and support implementation of tactical communications systems and applications
- Perform needs analyses and develop technical concepts, recommendations, and proposal-generation designs
- Address Government technical-design questions, issues, risks, and implementation decisions
- Design and evaluate conventional and trunked P25 systems, OTAR, data, microwave, VoIP, and supporting IT architectures
- Develop and review requirements, engineering plans, diagrams, specifications, interface documentation, and implementation artifacts
- Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, sustainment, and field implementation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend secure, reliable, interoperable, and cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with ICE engineers, regional program managers, field personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders
