About the Role
Position: Senior Technology Specialist – Systems Administrator
Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Employment Start Date - Immediate start
FTE/Time Fraction – 1.0 FTE (38 hours per week)
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Technology Specialist - Systems Administrator to join our ICT team.
Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for the administration, security, performance and continuous improvement of the College's technology infrastructure, systems, cloud platforms and digital services.
As a senior technical specialist, you will lead infrastructure projects, manage enterprise systems, support cybersecurity initiatives, mentor team members, and provide expert advice to stakeholders across the College. The role also acts as a deputy to the IT Manager as required.
Selection Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Extensive experience in a senior Systems Administration, Infrastructure or ICT Operations role.
Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, server environments and enterprise networks.
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Proven ability to successfully deliver ICT projects and system improvements.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
A commitment to customer service and building positive working relationships with stakeholders.
Current Employee Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
